With Cricket Asia Cup 2023 just a handful of days away, we are taking a look at the Asia Cup schedule 2023 as well as the India Asia Cup schedule. The only continental championship in cricket, Asia Cup 2023 is scheduled to be played from August 30 to September 17 in Sri Lanka and Pakistan.
While the tournament was originally scheduled to be hosted in Pakistan, Sri Lanka had to be picked as a neutral venue due to India’s reluctance to go to Pakistan. The upcoming event will be the first-ever Asia Cup edition that will be co-hosted by two countries.
A total of six teams are participating in the upcoming event. The five Test playing nations of the Asian Cricket Council (ACC) – Pakistan, India, Sri Lanka, Bangladesh, Afghanistan – along with Nepal will play in Asia Cup 2023. Nepal will be playing the Asia Cup for the first time in their history.
The six teams have been divided into two groups of three teams each. Hosts Pakistan, India and Nepal are in Group A while defending champions Sri Lanka, Afghanistan and Bangladesh are in Group B. The top two teams from each group will make it to the Super 4 and the top two teams of the Super 4 stage will play the final on September 17 in Colombo.
Asia Cup 2023 schedule:
Talking about Asia Cup cricket schedule or the Asia Cup match schedule, Pakistan and Nepal will be up against each other in the tournament-opener on August 30 in Multan. Both the teams will play one match more in the group stage against India. While Pakistan will play against India on September 2, the clash between Nepal and India will take place on September 4.
In Group B, Bangladesh and Sri Lanka will lock horns against each other on August 31 before they lock horns against Afghanistan. The match between Sri Lanka and Afghanistan is scheduled to take place on September 5 while Bangladesh and Afghanistan will be up against each other on September 3.

Talking about India Asia Cup schedule, as mentioned above the Men in Blue will open their campaign against arch-rivals Pakistan on September 2 in Pallekele. It will be followed by the game against Nepal on September 4 at the same venue.
