The student visa in Canada has many advantages, including allowing you to work while studying. Here is everything our Canada study visa consultant has to share.
You must enroll in a college or University course to obtain a student permit in Canada. So, the first step is to choose the degree, postgraduate degree, or academic project that best suits your profile and professional objectives.
This is perhaps the most difficult step. Our immigration consultant advises that you attend the virtual fairs, where you can speak directly with the representatives of the universities. They can give you all the information related to the programs that interest you and help you choose the best path.
Next, a Canada study visa consultant will explain the process of obtaining a study visa in Canada.
Remember, you can do this process in the company of an advisor who will guide and support you throughout your process.
Enrollment
The registration procedure may vary depending on the institution, the length of stay in the country, or the type of studies in which you will enroll. When starting your process, your Canada study visa consultant will provide you with the registration form for your chosen school, academy, or University.
The typical turnaround time is 1 to 2 days, while it is usually 4 to 6 weeks for a higher education program. Canada study visa consultants advise you to start your procedures six months in advance if it is at the College or University.
Confirmation documents (Offer Letter)
When you enroll, you will receive an official document from the school showing the financial conditions and how the course you have chosen for your training is paid.
Once these conditions are accepted, you must pay for the study program directly to the school or University. We will give you some good advice so that you save when making the transfer to the institution.
Confirmation document (Proof of acceptance)
It is a document by the academic institution to complete your studies and certifies that registration has been carried out correctly. It contains an individual reference number and is the most important requirement to start all visa procedures.
Visa application
Canada allows you to complete the visa process through an online portal. Here, you must include your and the school’s information and justify that you have enough money to cover the costs.
You must justify your financial capacity, demonstrating that you have enough money to cover the price of plane tickets, courses, and living costs in Canada. You can also present a letter of financial sponsorship written by whoever is responsible for your expenses.
Biometric data
This is the most significant step. Once you finish paying for the visa, you will receive instructions to manage the biometric data and a letter that you will have to take to the Canadian embassy.
For biometric data, making an appointment at the embassy is optional. The immigration consultant recommends that you call to request one.
Medical examination
They are optional unless there are special circumstances to be determined based on each student’s information. So you will only have to do it if they require it.
Visa approval
The duration of the process usually takes a week. Requesting it at least eight weeks before the course’s start date, from when they have your biometric data is important.
Health insurance
You must take out student health insurance that covers you when you are going to stay in the country. You can contract this insurance through our immigration consultant, but we remind you that it is necessary to have it before applying for the visa.
